Known Issues & Limitations
Network problems on macOS
Section titled “Network problems on macOS”Since macOS 15 (Sequoia), Apple filters access to the local network.
macOS shows the permission dialog when it decides one is needed, usually during a connection attempt. No app can trigger that dialog reliably, so it may never appear.
If sending data to the console fails unexpectedly:
- Click Request Local Network Access on the Settings page.
- Check that you did not turn the permission down earlier.
Go to macOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and switch GMA Toolbox on.
Patch Creator limits
Section titled “Patch Creator limits”- The tool only processes fixtures that have a valid, unique ID.
- Exported coordinates must be metric.
- Multi-patch fixtures and fixture accessories are not supported. That includes scrollers and multi-channel units such as 4/8-lites and RGB bars.
See the Patch Creator page for the full list, including the limits on MVR import and grandMA3.
